MotorWeek Calls 2014 Jeep Cherokee the New King of the Hill
It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and it would seem that things aren’t just going great. They’re going a-freakin’-mazing.
For most models, selling a whole bunch of units would be a pretty big deal. And the Cherokee has. In each month of being on sale, the new SUV has sold upwards of 10,000 units, with 10,505 sold in January alone (extra impressive if you take into account how bad the weather has been for most of the country).
But as you can probably guess, the Cherokee’s success can’t be attributed to sales alone. Recently, MotorWeek named both the Cherokee and the RAM 1500 for “Driver’s Choice” awards.
The Cherokee was particularly lauded for its 45% bump in fuel economy over its Liberty predecessor, as well as its winning capability and handling both on road, and off. Its segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission, disconnecting rear axle, and revolutionary design were also given high marks.
Of course, this isn’t all we’ll be seeing from the Jeep Cherokee in the near future. When the Geneva Motor Show kicks off on March 6th, the Jeep brand will unveil the SUV’s diesel variant for the world to see. We’re excited to see the reveal and hear everyone’s reactions!
If you’re eager to experience the Cherokee’s capability for yourself, get in touch with us by phone, email, or live chat. We’ll set up a time for you to swing on by our Idaho Falls, ID dealership and give it a test drive.
